A B O U T

Brass Solidarity is a band founded in 2021 in response to the murder of George Floyd and the ongoing fight in the movement for Black lives. The members of Brass Solidarity come from a variety of musical backgrounds and are united in their dedication to using their talents to promote social justice and bring people together.

We meet every Monday, 5:30p-7:00p, at George Floyd Square (Chicago Ave & 38th St, Minneapolis) to build repertory and community. Other meet-ups happen in parks, at George Floyd Square, community picnics and parades … musicians of all levels are welcome to join us.

We engage with social justice leadership to contribute to Actions for Justice. Get in touch at [email protected].

Our musicians work for justice, not money. Stipends and donations we receive go directly into our work.
