Brass Solidarity is built out of the tradition of resilience and community fortitude through music.
Brass Solidarity is a convergence of musicians, activists, and community members using our sound as a voice for justice and an advocate for Black Lives. We were birthed from the movement for Black Liberation in George Floyd square, meeting weekly as a continuous offering to the community. Our music is by the people and for the people as a passionate campaign to spread love and uplift BIPOC communities.
We aspire to bridge Northside and Southside and center BIPOC leadership. Brass Solidarity seeks to build a repertoire of songs that can contribute to movement spaces, events and actions for Justice in coordination with movement leadership.
