Brass Solidarity is a band founded in 2021 in response to the murder of George Floyd and the ongoing fight in the movement for Black lives. The members of Brass Solidarity come from a variety of musical backgrounds and are united in their dedication to using their talents to promote social justice and bring people together.

HONK! 2024
*We’re Going!

HONK! is an awesome, free 3-day festival of brass bands from all over the United States and the world, held in Somerville, MA celebrating music, community and activism. Honk! is organized entirely by volunteers and is now in its 18th year. Brass Solidarity had a significant presence at last year’s festival and we’re going back for 2024.

Our musicians work for justice, not money. There are significant costs associated with our travel to Massachusetts to participate in this major event of the work we do. If you believe in the values that Brass Solidarity represents, please show that support with a donation to our HONK! FUND.
